In Karnataka’s Bengaluru, the daughter of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) was seen arguing and misbehaving with traffic police.
On the 10th of June, Friday, a video surfaced online, in which MLA Mr. Aravind Limbavali’s daughter, who allegedly jumped a signal was misbehaving with a cop. The incident happened after she was stopped by the Bengaluru Traffic Police for jumping a signal, rash driving her BMW and violating traffic rules. Furthermore, when the media gathered there to cover the matter, she even misbehaved with the media people.
The BJP MLA Mr. Aravind Limbavi’s daughter said, “I want to go now. Don’t hold the car. You can’t put a case on me for overtaking. This is MLA vehicle. We haven’t driven rash. My father is Aravind Limbavali.”
According to sources, the girl was later let go by the police, after she paid a fine of Rs. 10,000. It is to be noted, the fine was paid by her friend, who was riding with him, as she said, she did not have any money.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka Home Minister Mr. Araga Jnanendra said, “This was a case of rash driving, she (MLA Aravind Limbavali’s daughter) was stopped by police. Her friend was driving the car, they paid a fine and went.”
The abusive behaviour of the MLA’s daughter gained criticism from netizens, as well as opposition.
Later, Mr. Aravind Limbavali apologised on behalf of his daughter and clarified the whole incident.
