Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, on the 7th of September, ordered the Village Revenue Officers (VROs) to submit Revenue Records in Collectorates.
The decision was taken in regard to the new Revenue Police, which is expected to be introduced on the 10th of September during the Monsoon Assembly session of Telangana.
From the 7th of September, the Telangana Monsoon Assembly Session began.
Somesh Kumar issued an order regarding the submission of revenue data to the district collectors of Telangana.
The government has directed the collectors to immediately seize the revenue records from the VROs.
VROs were instructed to hand over the revenue records to the Collectorate by 3:00 P.M., on the 7th of September and were asked to submit a report to the State Government regarding the same by 5:30 P.M.
Meanwhile, post 5:30 P.M., the Telangana Cabinet is scheduled to conduct a meeting and discuss and approve the new revenue law.
The final draft of the new Revenue Draft would be introduced in the Legislature later.
