Delhi: Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla said that he will take the responsibility of enquiry on security breach reported inside the house on Wednesday. Two miscreants jumped into the house from the visitors gallery and opened a canister and released smoke into the house.
Sessions restarted at 2 pm on Thursday and MPS raised concern over their security at the house. They demanded the speaker to take up a short discussion in the house about the security measures at parliament.
Om Birla responding to the concerns raised by the MPs said, “ We have arrested two protestors inside and two protesters outside the house. Police handed over the items carried by these agitators. A detailed enquiry was ordered in the issue and Delhi police were on the job. Police in their preliminary investigation identified that the smoke released by the protestors is a coloured gas. We will discuss the issue in the evening,” Om Birlsa said.
He asked the members to cooperate for smooth conduct of the session.
