Hyderabad: A Telugu actress has been rescued from a prostitution racket on Tuesday by the police in Goa. After conducting a raid in a five-star hotel in the city, the police busted the prostitution racket.The police said that the actress, who was rescued, will be sent to state-run protection home. The identity of the actress is yet-to-be revealed and is heard that she sizzled in minor roles in few Bollywood and Tollywood films.
According to police, they have also arrested a woman (30), who is an agent and provides women to various five-star hotels in the state as prostitutes. It is learnt that the woman and the actress arrived from Mumbai to the city by a plane on Tuesday. However, another person involved in the racket managed to flee from the scene during the raid.
The police inspector Siddhanth Shirodkar said that the woman, who has been arrested, operated from various star hotels and that the police had sent decoy customer to trap her and rescue the actress.
