Covid-19 Updates:  Telangana HC Asks Government To Set Up Live Dashboard With Hospital Details

The Telangana High Court (HC) on the 8th of July, reviewed a petition demanding information on government hospitals treating the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients. 

Similar to Delhi, the petitioner demanded a website or an application providing detailed information regarding the availability of beds, ventilators and isolation wards in the COVID-18 designated hospitals for the infected patients. 

While reviewing the petion, theHigh Court asked the Telangana Government to seek technology cooperation from the Delhi Government and set up a live dashboard, comprising details of facilities in hospitals.

Despite the State Government’s assurance of the progress work in designing a software with details, the Court suggested to take cooperation from the Delhi Government.

The High Court adjourned the matter to the next hearing, scheduled on the 14th of July. 

Meanwhile, Telangana is witnessing a huge spike in the cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Till the 8th of July, the State recorded a total of 27,621 positive cases.  Of the total, 11,012 are active cases, 16,287 recovered/discharged cases and 313 deceased.
