Telangana reported 1,524 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 37,745.
On the 15th of July, the Telangana Health department confirmed the 1,524 new cases. Of the total cases, majority of cases are from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Rangareddy.
Of the 1,524 cases, 815 were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GMCH), followed by 240 cases in Ranga Reddy district and 97 cases in Medchal district respectively.
Around 24,840 people have recovered from the disease.
With these updates, Telangana has 12,531 active cases and 375 deceased.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana conducted a total of 13,175 samples for COVID-19, taking the total tests in the State to 1,95,024 till the 15th of July.
In addition, Telangana has 17,081 COVID-19 beds, out of which 11,928 are isolation beds and 3,537 are oxygen beds.
Health Minister E Rajender said the state government is providing telemedicine to Covid-19 patients in home isolation.
In regard to this, the Telangana Government recently launched a COVID-19 helpline centre. The helpline would provide all the information and awareness about the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, with the above mentioned updates, Telangana has mortality rate at 0.99%, average growth of the virus is at 4% and recovery rate at 65.81 %.
