Ms. Draupadi Murmu, the President of India, is scheduled to visit the Bhadrachalam district in Telangana, on the 28th of December.
It is to be noted, President Draupadi Murmu is on a five day tour, known as the Southern Sojourn to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, from the 26th of December. On the first day of the President’s arrival, she visited the Srisailam Temple in Andhra Pradesh and launched several development projects in the region.
Speaking about the schedule of Ms. Draupadi Murmu, she would be visiting Bhadrachalam town’s Ramappa Temple, which has been given a heritage tag by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO.) Ms. Draupadi Murmu would also lay the foundation stone for PRASHAD Scheme for the development of the Ramappa Temple. It is to be noted, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government sanctioned Rs. 50 crore for the scheme.
Meanwhile, in view of Ms. Draupadi Murmu’s visit, the Bhadrachalam district administration made an elaborate arrangement. Approximately 2,000 police personnel were deployed for security purposes.
