BRS Minority Cell General Secretary Abdul Muqeet Chanda has asked the Telangana government to release a white paper on the state’s law-and-order situation.
He raised concerns over what he described as a rise in murders and crimes against women, especially in Hyderabad and nearby areas. He said the government should provide detailed figures on murders, crimes against women and other serious offences reported across Telangana.
Muqeet Chanda also referred to the murder of a woman veterinary doctor near Shadnagar. He said that during the previous BRS government, then Cyberabad Commissioner VC Sajjanar had taken quick action in the case.
He questioned Sajjanar’s current role as Hyderabad Police Commissioner and asked why murders and other crimes were continuing. He alleged that police were focusing more on statements after crimes than on preventing them.
