Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, constituted a high level working group for transforming the education sector in the Telugu State.  The working group consists of executives from Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Intel, Google, NASSCOM and Niti Aayog.   The State Government would also appoint a School Infrastructure Commissioner, who would work with the team as convenor.

The committee of the officials include executives from top tech companies and senior officials of the State Government.  The decision was taken by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy who held a meeting with the Education Department officials.  The State Government is making efforts to transform government school students into world class products equipped with modern technology.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has asked the high level committee to finalize the curriculum, infrastructure, resource deployment, content and labs needed at schools.

In regard to this, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government issued an official notice.  The Press release read, “The working group was asked to submit its report by July 15…to be headed by the school education principal secretary.”

The major reason behind this decision to form a committee was taken to empower the State Education Department and sector with  high end technologies for state run schols.

The working group is expected to recommend the steps needed to train students in gaining knowledge in technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI,) Long Language Models (LLM,) data analytics, ChatGPT, Web 3.0, augmented reality, virtual reality, internet of things (IoT) and others.

It is also required to advise on developing suitable curriculum, lesson plans, methods of training and other steps needed to gain excellent knowledge in these subjects.

Furthermore, Andhra Pradesh is installing interactive flat panels (IFPs) to aid pedagogy in 30,000 classrooms by July end, including 10,038 smart TVs as part of digitalisation under ‘Nadu-Nedu’ scheme.

In addition, the YSRCP Government would install IFPs and smart TVs in the remaining classrooms by December.

The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government is working to enhance education in Andhra Prades with world class technology and modern modes of teaching.
