India Reports 70,421 New COVID-19 Cases With 3,921 Deaths In Past 24 Hours

For the 8th consecutive day, India reported below 1 lakh cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) 

On the 14th of June, the nation reported a dip with 70,421 new Wuhan virus cases, but witnessed a rise in death cases with 3,921 deaths in the past 24 hours. In addition, 1,19,000 people were discharged/recovered from the deadly virus.

The single day COVID-19 data was updated by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 14th of June. As per the data, India has 29,510,410 positive cases, of which 28,162,947 are recovered/discharged cases, 9,73,158 are active cases and 3,74,305 are deceased cases. The updated data is available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) 

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed a total of 379,624,626 samples being tested for the Wuhan virus till date.

In addition, a total of 25,31,95,048 beneficiaries have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 disease in India till date. Of the total, 3,484,239 were inoculated in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, states like West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are under lockdown or partial lockdown. However, considering the controlled second wave of the Wuhah virus, many states and Union territories (UTs) would be seeing more relaxations under their unlock plans. In a week, many states would see relaxations in order to restart their economy.
