Ms. Banerjee, the President of the Trinamool Congress (TMC,) said, “I don’t want to share the dais with expiry-PM as elections are on.”

The comments of Ms. Banerjee came after PM Modi criticised Mamata Banerjee and said, she is playing politics and compromising on the relief arrangements made post Cyclone Fani.

Mr. Modi, who is on a one day visit to Odisha to inspect the situation in the State due to Fani, said, “I tried to talk to Mamata Didi before the cyclone hit, but such was her arrogance that she refused to talk to me.”

Mr. Modi got an aerial survey done of the areas affected by Fani in Odisha, with Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha and wanted the support of West Bengal for the same.

Mr. Modi took to Twitter and shared his concern regarding the effect of Fani in West Bengal and the ignorance of Mamata Banerjee towards the same.
