Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 2,600-bed private hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, on the 24th of August, Wednesday.
Mr. Narendra Modi was received by Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya, the Governor of Haryana and Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, ahead of the launch. The inauguration of the equipped with cutting edge technology, a centralised fully automated laboratory and other facilities, the private hospital was a major boost to the health infrastructure in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Haryana.
Highlighting the hospital, the State of the art Amrita Hospital was built on a 130 acre campus with sustainability in mind. The fourteen storey hospital was constructed over a period of six years under the auspices of the Mata Amritanandmayi Math.= The super speciality hospital would currently operate with 500 beds, which would further be extended with more operational beds in a phased manner, in the next five years.
Once fully operational, the hospital with 81 specialities is billed to be the largest private hospital in Delhi-NCR and the country with a helipad on the rooftop. The mega hospital is located in Faridabad’s Sector 88, near the Delhi-Mathura road gastro-sciences, renal sciences, bone diseases and trauma, transplants, and mother and child care with a medical college campus.
