The NTR family is building a list of road accidents in and around Nalgonda district. This arises the question of mystery or just coincidence. It is a subject of conversation after two NTR family members met with similar fatal accidents at Nalgonda district.
Today, N. Harikrishna the son of former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao died in a road accident at Nalgonda district. The accident occurred at around 6:30 A.M., this morning.
The actor was driving his Toyota Fortuner when his car hit the divider and flipped to the opposite side of road. Harikrishna was travelling to attend a meeting in Nellore and was in a hurry to reach the function by 9:00 A.M.
In 2014, Mr. Harikrishna lost his son in a road accident on the same national highway number 65. Just like his father Janakiram was also driving the car but rammed into a tractor moving on the wrong side of the road. However, in the case of Harikrishna, the police have ruled it as a reckless and speeding accident.
Janakiram was in a horrible condition but managed to give the ambulance attendants his brother’s Kalyanram number. Before breathing his last, Janakiram asked the attendants to pass on the message on the accident to his brother.
The family seems to have a growing history of tragic road accidents on this national highway. Harikrishna’s other son Junior NTR also met with an accident on the same highway but was lucky enough to survive. This accident resulted in the police charging Jr. NTR with reckless driving.
Although, two out of the three accidents were ruled as reckless driving the Nalgonda highway stretch is plagued with accidents. The road sense of riders and drivers mixed with occasionally bad roads has made this stretch a danger zone.
Every other week an accident is reported in and around Nalgonda district. In just 2018, over 15 deaths in road accidents have been officially reported at the district.
