Amaravati: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh lashes out against the state’s deteriorating law and order under Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s governance.

In a scathing critique, Lokesh highlighted the rampant mob anarchy gripping the state, particularly pointing fingers at the recent incident involving YSRCP leader Syriala Chandra Rao’s attack on priests at the Kakinada Shiva Temple. The incident, wherein Rao allegedly assaulted the priests for perceived shortcomings in their Puja rituals, has sparked outrage and condemnation from various quarters.

Expressing dismay over the attack, Lokesh questioned the audacity of targeting individuals dedicated to serving a divine cause. “Is it commendable to assault priests who are solely devoted to the service of God?” he questioned, urging authorities to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators of such heinous acts.

With elections looming on the horizon, Lokesh underscored the urgency for immediate action, emphasizing that the public’s faith in governance hangs in the balance. “The upcoming government elections are just two months away. I implore the state police to act promptly and ensure justice prevails,” Lokesh asserted.

Meanwhile, the Priests Association has joined the chorus of condemnation, denouncing the attack on the temple’s custodians. Reports indicate that two priests, Venkata Sathyasai and Vijaykumar, were subjected to assault by ruling party leader Chandra Rao, further exacerbating tensions in the region.
